I haven't really used it since then, but I haven't relegated it to a dusty corner of the closet yet. It's still hooked up to the Zip drive and everything. Right now, I'm having to do a lot of car work, and I've had to do some traveling, so I haven't really been able to spend a lot of time or money on improving the Mac, but it's still something I want to do in the future.

Re: Living with a Mac Classic II – Day Seven

Thanks for posting. I was getting all nostalgic while reading the Jobs bio. I even found myself pulling out my Newton Messagepad 130 for another go (only to discover that I never patched the 2010 date issue. sigh.) I was hoping that the old Macs at least had an ethernet card so I could still move files back and forth that way. Have you boxed up the old Mac for good or have you moved forward with any expanded capabilities?

Re: Living with a Mac Classic II – Day One

Sitting on Day 5 right now, actually. These posts are mostly time delayed because the family PC is used for a lot of school work, so discretionary use is limited.

Re: Living with a Mac Classic II – Day One

Did you survive to tell us the day two?
